Hope Hike 2011: A Superior Challenge - The Alberts
We are participating in Hope Hike 2011: A Superior Challenge to raise money for International Justice Mission - a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. Hope Hike 2011 will take place on Saturday, June 25th and we will be hiking a challenging portion of the Superior Trail, footpath that largely follows the rocky ridgeline above Lake Superior on Minnesota's North Shore. We'd like you to join our team, raise a minimum of $450, and hike with us!
The hike is being coordinated by Katie's Club Fund. This year there is an opportunity to have the top fundraiser's pledges matched by the Katies Club Fund. Katie's Club was created in 2005 in memory of Katrina Serenity Stigman who struggled with breast cancer, but whose life was a continual demonstration of hope and faith to those around her. The Katie's Club Fund is happy to partner with us in raising funds for IJM and will match monies raised by the top fundraiser and the top team, up to a maximum.
More about IJM: IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems.
