Women for Peace & Hope in Laos (W4PHL) is a giving circle of philanthropic advocates who support causes that empower women and girls from disadvantaged communities, so that they can make a lasting and meaningful impact in their lives, families, and communities.

WHAT IS THE CAUSE?

Legacies of War, the only U.S. non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of Vietnam war-era bombing of Laos, is launching a nationwide tour featuring two speakers from Laos. The speakers will discuss how UXO (unexploded ordnance, bombs) impact the country today, nearly forty-five years after the end of the war. WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISING GOAL?

$3,000 by Monday, April 15, 2013 to help towards expenses that will help make the speakers tour possible across the U.S. (transportation, educational materials, space rental fees, etc.).

WHY GIVE?

With thousands of supporters including the U.S. Department of State; Legacies of War continues to do important advocacy work on behalf of the many UXO-related organizations in Laos who work with victims and contaminated soil every day.
