“I want to become a homeowner to make a better life for myself, my children, and my grandchildren. I want to create a legacy within my family that will change their lives forever. I want to be a positive example to my children, and show them that you can achieve your dreams if you work hard and do not settle.”

These are the words of Sandra Sample, an apparel sales associate at a local retailer. Sandra is has worked hard towards her goals and is excited for the opportunity to live in a home where her grandson can play safely outside and where her family will be able to enjoy the stability and security that homeownership provides.

The Sample Family has been working together to complete their sweat equity hours. Sandra and both of her children have contributed sweat equity at the ReStore and construction site. Sandra has also helped the administrative staff in the office by answering phones, filing, and making copies. Sandra has been willing to help Habitat in any capacity. She brings a positive energy to the job site and has created great relationships with staff and the other partner families.

Women Build is an opportunity for women to come together and help to fund and build a home. Sponsored nationally by Lowe's Home Improvement and locally by The Breakers Palm Beach. Shine your hammers and dust off your hard hats and join us in eliminating poverty housing.
