Community training group picking worthy causes and fighting for them.

CURE was established in 1975 as a grassroots organization with one crystal-clear mission: to save lives. At the time, the survival rate of children with cancer was a bleak ten percent. Our founders were determined to change that. With a very real sense of urgency, CURE focused on improving the care and quality of life – as well as the survival rates – of children with cancer.

Now, thirty-seven years later, we’ve helped increase the childhood cancer survival rate to 80%. While that may sound impressive, it’s not good enough for us. Nothing less than 100% will ever be good enough. That’s why, over the years, we’ve expanded our mission to focus more heavily on research. It’s through research that we’ll find the cure for childhood cancer – and reach that 100% survival rate goal we’re so committed to.
