Walk & Roll to Cure FSHD
A team for FACIOSCAPULOHUMERAL SOCIETY
"Walk & Roll to Cure FSHD" a team to help the FACIOSCAPULOHUMERAL SOCIETY...
Join Colorado's first annual fundraiser to help cure Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy or FSHD. The name of this muscle-weakening disease is indeed difficult to pronounce, but it is immeasurably more challenging to find a treatment or a cure for this most prevalent type of muscular dystrophy affecting 870,000 men, women and children worldwide. Those whose lives that have been changed forever by FSHD include one of our very own Castle Rock residents, a wife and mother of two young boys. At this time there are no treatments or cure to stop the progression of this devastating muscle disease.
However, thanks to the 25 years of dedication and hard work of the FSH Society, we are getting closer to a treatment or cure. The FSH Society is the world’s largest grassroots organization advocating for patient education and scientific and medical research. The FSH Society has received eight consecutive Charity Navigator four-star ratings, making it the nation's highest-rated muscular dystrophy charity. You can throw your support behind our Walk & Roll knowing that the funds raised will be responsibly and effectively invested toward our mission to improve health and advance research toward treatments and a cure for FSHD.
You can support the Walk & Roll as an individual, or better yet, create your own team and enlist your network to support your team! Peer-to-peer fundraising can multiply your impact seven-fold!!
