The Learning Abroad Center collaborates with Common Hope, a local nonprofit, to offer the Volunteer in Guatemala program over spring break 2016. Common Hope is based in the colonial city of Antigua. With its beautiful Spanish architecture and surrounding landscape, the city of Antigua has become a popular destination for visitors from all over the world.

The Volunteer in Guatemala program focuses on community engagement within Antigua and the surrounding countryside. You will have the opportunity to personalize your volunteer experience to meet personal, academic, and future career goals. Possible volunteer experiences include: education, social work, nonprofit management, and construction. You will work as a group or individually with Common Hope staff every morning on the volunteer experiences you select.
