Please support CCTV in making dreams of film makers come true. Happy 25th Anniversary
Dear Family and Friends,
I wish you all a very happy thanksgiving. Some of my homework over this break is to thank and be thankful to kind people like all of you. We are asked to share stories. My story is about Cambridge Community Television, a place that made my dream of becoming a filmmaker come true. CCTV had made many adults and youth dreams come true by providing them with free equipments to share their vision with world.
About two years ago I could not believe about what I read on the Mayor’s application. The description was a quick explanation of CCTV. I rushed to my mom in the kitchen and showed her the description. I said “really, this is a place where I can use professional cameras and training from adult experts.” She became very excited as well. She was excited to see me this excited. To be brief CCTV is better then Hollywood. Everything at CCTV is free and you have all the equipments that you need to become a professional filmmaker. Beside all the great opportunities they provide for free, CCTV also pay us. That is really fanny, a place you are paid to achieve your dream. Most importantly in CCTV we are like families. It is a save and happy place to be. I feel very lucky and very happy to be a part of CCTV.
You might be wondering why I am sharing this story. You are probably, “Sayed you are welcome and go away.” (Lough). Well, I am telling this story because we need your help. CCTV is a non-profit organization and need your help. For those of you, who are a recent immigrant like me to the United Sates, a non-profit organization means that CCTV is supported by the public. Here is a dictionary definition, so you don’t have to bother to look it up.
1. A nonprofit organization, or not-for-profit organization, often called an NPO or simply a nonprofit and non-commercial organization, often called an NCO, is an organization that uses surplus revenues to achieve its goals rather than distributing them as profit or dividends. ...
CCTV’s goal is to educate public and make the dream of people like me come true. Now I don’t have to go to Hollywood and wash dishes for God knows how many years in order to get the chance to learn their cameras and get experience. CCTV have already provided me with all that. They are doing it everyday for thousands people who comes for help.
I don’t want to take any more of your time and want to tell you that we need your support. Simply, we need your money. You can send us your Bank Account, American Express, Social Security Number, Checks, or Cash. Just joking :). I mean, it is a free country you can do that, but you don’t have to. Please don’t forget to sends us some checks and cash though. The rest is up to you.
Anyway, these are some of the people I am thankful to.
My whole family, especially my mom and grand mom, CCTV, all of you, my Birdy Bella, Mahatma Gandhi, and all the peacemakers in the world.
Have a great Thanksgiving, and please pardon the Turkey.
Thank you very much,
