The EAR Foundation of Arizona
A team for EAR FOUNDATION
Every contribution helps!
The EAR Foundation of Arizona provides loaner and permanent hearing aids to children, performs clinical and basic science research, and provides education and support for individuals with hearing loss and balance disorders.
We are part of the Arizona Early Hearing Detection and Intervention program and provide audiology consulting and program development to many agencies and organizations.
We also screen for vision and hearing at preschools and daycares!
There are four main ways in which The EAR Foundation of Arizona contributes to the hearing impaired community:
HEAR For Kids: provides a valuable service for newly identified children. This program works with the manufacturers of pediatric hearing aids to provide a hearing aid care kit for any child receiving new or loaner hearing aids.
Research: investigate genetic changes that contribute to ear disease and hearing impairment
Programs: the BASICS program helps identify children with late onset and progressive hearing loss and vision problems prior to entering school
Early Hearing Detection and Intervention in Arizona: assisting Arizona's hospitals with the establishment of newborn hearing screening, tracking and follow-up programs
