Giving makes you feel good, especially when you can see benefits to real people. Building off the Gold Medal (Women’s Doubles) and Silver Medal (Mixed Doubles) success we had in the 2013 Sofia Summer Deaflympic Games, TeamUSA is hosting a world-class deaf tennis event in July 2014 in Chattanooga, TN. These are the first deaf tennis medals earned first medal since the 1997 Copenhagen Summer Deaflympics. We would like to extend our gratitude for the support you have provided.

Hosting a major international tennis tournament for 100+ participants from 12+ countries is not cheap, which is why we need your assistance. The Dresse (Men) and the Maere (Women) Cup (DMC) event is for world class-tennis players who are deaf and hearing impaired. The DMC is patterned after the Davis and Wightman Cups and is held every four years. TeamUSA Deaf Tennis does not receive any financial assistance from either the US Olympic Committee, the USTA or any official governing body. Our participation in the 2014 DMC and other world-class events relies 100% on individual fundraising
activities by players, coaches, administrators and committee members. Big or small, we are looking for donations for services and financial support to help Team USA walk this path of success for our athletes.

Here is where USA Deaf Tennis needs your help:

$250 enables the Organizing Committee to pay for one day of USTA Referee fees for the tournament. Our tournament runs eight days.

$500 allows the Organizing Committee to purchase the mandatory $2M Liability policy with $25,000 major medical rider.

$750 will secure the daily, round-trip bus transportation from the player hotels to the Champions Club tennis facility. This line item is using contracted services for eight days.

$1,000 provides daily meals for all tournament participants, administrators and International Tennis directorate in attendance for eight days.

$2,500 pays the random drug testing results as required by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for the Dresse & Maere Cup event.

$Other Amounts, large or small help the Organizing Committee defray the costs uniforms, traveling expenses, training camp, meals and lodging. Our TeamUSA Deaf tennis athletes will appreciate it greatly!

Please click on my DONATE link to assist the 2014 USA Deaf Tennis team defray costs making the 2014 Dresse & Maere Cup the best ever and providing a first-class event for all participants at every touch point.
