"Team Tuscaloosa" a team to help the RALLY FOUNDATION FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH...
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. We've set this up to raise money for childhood brain cancer research in memory of Joseph Peabody. He was a spunky, energetic, sweet little boy who was loved dearly by his friends and family. Joseph was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor at the age of 3 and after fighting bravely for 9 months, died the day after his fourth birthday. The 3rd annual Joe P. Rally Run is a 5K in honor of his life. All proceeds go to support pediatric brain cancer research. Thanks to the previous Joe P. Rally Runs we have funded research at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital where they have made great strides in finding an effective treatment for pediatric malignant brain tumors. They are planning to start a clinical trial based on their research funded by the Joe P. Run by the end of this year! This is awesome news, since pediatric cancer research does not receive much funding and only one pediatric cancer drug has been approved by the FDA in the last twenty years! So, let's help this team of researchers continue their awesome work in finding a cure for malignant brain tumors in children. Please consider helping us reach our goal of $2000 by donating to this awesome cause or join us in Nashville on September 1st. Here is the link to sign up for the race.
