Rockopelli is an all-ages music festival to benefit local Northwest Indiana charities. Proceeds from the 2015 festival will benefit Planting Possibilities.

Local bands, local food, local charities.

Rockopelli is an all-ages music fest that supports local charities. Established in 2012 by Joel Ratajack with the help of family and friends, Rockopelli has raised over $30,000 for the northwest Indiana based Planting Possibilities organization.

Planting Possibilities mission is to provide employment, job skills training, and fulfilling volunteer opportunities for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in Lake County, Indiana.

Why this matters: Think about the personal satisfaction you feel from being part of a job well done.

Adults with autism and developmental disabilities also enjoy that same sense of pride and accomplishment, yet 2/3 of those same adults are not working…and that's in a strong economy.

Planting Possibilities strives to provide a nurturing environment for these young adults in Lake County so that they may work toward their own goals of building fulfilling lives through meaningful work.

With your help and financial support, my efforts to support Team Rockopelli will help provide possibilities for young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in my community.

Planting Possibilities has a grand plan. It begins with building a commercial greenhouse that employs and job-trains adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. A greenhouse is a labor intensive operation, requiring several different skill levels. What a perfect place to train and employ adults with varying abilities!

Planting Possibilities is on their way but has far to go to achieve their grand plan, which includes:

  • Constructing a commercial greenhouse/hoophouse growing facility
  • Establishing a self-supporting retail gift shop
  • Building a conservatory/small events facility with commercial kitchen facilities to provide more job-training and employment opportunities
  • Designing and planting a botanical garden as a living testimony to the abilities of trainees and employees
  • Building a residential mini-village for trainees and employees who may need to live closer to work

With the help of Team Rockopelli this ambitious goal can become a reality.

Why I’m participating in Team Rockopelli:

I’ve experienced personal satisfaction from being part of a job well done and I want young adults with autism and developmental disabilities to also enjoy that same sense of pride and accomplishment.

And, Rockopelli is fun all-ages welcome summer music-fest with awesome bands, food, games, vendor booths, silent auctions and raffles!

Please donate (and come to Rockopelli on June 19 from 4-10PM at Main Square Park in Highland, IN).

I hope you will consider making a fully tax-deductible donation to help me reach my goal. As a volunteer organization, all funds raised will help to provide possibilities for young adults affected by autism and other developmental disabilities in Lake County, Indiana.

All online donations are completely secure. If you prefer, you can send a contribution directly to Planting Possibilities. Please include my name and make the check payable to Planting Possibilities, Inc. Checks should be mailed to:

Also, don’t forget to check with your company about matching donations. Many companies match dollar for dollar up to a certain limit. This is an easy way to double your impact!

I hope that you will help me reach my goal by supporting my fundraising efforts.
