Team PPNYC is participating in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour because we believe in every family having the reproductive health services they need regardless of financial circumstances: from children that are planned for and wanted to young people who can complete their education, pursue careers, and fulfill their dreams.

Each year Planned Parenthood of New York City provides compassionate, confidential care to more clients… offer a wider range of health services… reach further into underserved neighborhoods… forge new partnerships with schools, community groups, and houses of worship… equip more adults to talk effectively with young people about sexuality… in short, we help more New Yorkers of all ages to make healthy decisions that protect their futures.

The New Yorkers turning to PPNYC’s health centers for care are young, diverse, often financially struggling, and many are recent immigrants. This spring, Planned Parenthood of New York City will establish a permanent home in Queens with a state-of-the-art facility equipped to serve 17,500 clients annually. Nearly half of all Queens residents are foreign-born; these newest New Yorkers face multiple barriers to health care, contributing to a high rate of unintended pregnancy, and PPNYC is here to help.

Rather than keeping young people in the dark about sexual health, PPNYC’s educational programs are fostering responsibility, stronger communication, and healthy relationships.

Help support this great cause by donating to Team PPNYC! All contributions will help us provide care and counseling that is accessible and respectful; honest guidance and sex education for teens, young adults, and parents; and advocacy to promote progressive and effective public health policy at all levels of government.
