"Team Frannie" is running to support the mission of The Frannie Foundation, which is to enhance the lives of individuals who suffer from Diabetes and other Cardiovascular related Diseases. The Foundation will work to acheive its mission by supporting research and programs for patient basic needs. Basic needs include, but are not limited to, medical care, education, patient comfort and advocacy.

The Frannie Foundation is thrilled to annouce our first award was granted to Dr. Rita Kalyani and her research regarding gender differences in the association of diabetes with the development of heart disease. This project was chosen for oral presentation at the annual American Heart Association national scientific meetings in November.

Funds raised this year will go to support point-of-care screenings on World Diabetes Day in November at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

With your help, we CAN and DO make a difference!
