Join in and support the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Giving Tuesday "Power of Ten" Challenge!
The Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) Giving Tuesday "Power of Ten" Challenge is a way for alumni and friends of SEO to pay it forward and support this incredible organization. Throughout the month of November, the SEO Junior Leadership Board is encouraging everyone to contribute $10 or more to SEO and share your support on social media by tagging 10 or more friends. 100% of proceeds of the challenge will be donated to support the SEO Scholars program.
If you're in the New York City area, we will be celebrating the end of this challenge with a Happy Hour on Giving Tuesday (November 29th) at Draught 55 (http://www.draught55.com/) from 6PM to 8PM.
Every donation counts! Our goal of $5,000 will help support an SEO Scholar for one year.
SEO Scholars is built on the belief that low-income students can excel even at the country’s best colleges and we have the results to prove it. Not only are all of our low-income Scholars accepted to four-year colleges but 95% graduate within six years and 80% graduate in four.
ABOUT SEO SCHOLARS
SEO Scholars is a rigorous eight-year academic program that prepares low-income public high school students for admission to the nation’s most competitive colleges—and supports them through college graduation.
In high school, our Scholars attend SEO’s rigorous academic classes on Saturdays, after school and in the summers. They also attend SAT prep courses, work with tutors and mentors, and attend summer enrichment programs.
In college, our highly-trained staff of counselors works one-on-one with our first-generation students through year-round communications and a series of career-readiness events. They offer psychosocial support, academic advising, internship placement and more.
