Our team is a made up of members with a philanthropic mindset. We selected Mommy’s Light as our charity of choice for this run because of their unique approach to helping families continue on traditions for young children after the loss of a parent. Everyone on our team is a parent themselves. Mommy’s Light Lives On is especially meaningful as 2 of our team members (Michelle Nocito and Jason Gonter) both experienced the loss of a parent as children. Michelle lost her father suddenly when she was just 6 years old, and Jason lost his mother when he was just 14 years old. These events were life changing and we could not have become who we are today without the love and assistance that was offered to us.

Our mission is to partner with Mommy's Light Lives On to give back and help other families find the comfort and care through simple traditions that can remind us all that the love between a parent and child lives on far longer than a person’s physical presence.

Mommy's Light's Tradition Fulfillmentsm Services support maternally bereaved children/teens in continuing traditions and simple pleasures they shared with their mothers.

Our mission is to complete all 13.1 miles of the Philadelphia Half Marathon on our son Gage's 3rd Birthday. We have been given the greatest gift by being blessed with 2 amazing children and we are proud to be able to do what we can with your help to support a charity that provides a unique way to support other children. One thing we have come to understand is that grief is a lifelong process of adaptation, and tradition and remembrance often serve as comfort.

Our goal is to raise $1,000 for this charity! We hope you will consider donating whatever you can. Even $1 can help! And we encourage each of you embark on your own journey to find the fulfillment and sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a personal goal such as a half marathon.
