Come ride your bicycle to help raise money for Nonviolent Peaceforce, whose mission is to promote, develop and implement unarmed civilian peacekeeping as a tool for reducing violence and protecting civilians in situations of violent conflict.

*In Sudan we created school peace committees. A school was so wracked by fighting, students stopped attending. NP helped develop a Peace Committee and the school has re-opened.

*NP prevented cattle raiding violence in Sudan. After NP brought together community leaders to discuss alternatives to violence, stolen cattle and kidnapped children were returned.

*In Sri Lanka NP protected children and prevented disappearances. NP worked with mothers who learned how to negotiate the return of their children who were taken to become child soldiers.

Your donation helps Nonviolent Peaceforce to send more peacekeepers into the field!
