NU Hillel ASB Budapest 2014
A team for JEWISH UNITED FUND OF METROPOLITAN CHICAGO
A team to fundraise for a Jewish cultural immersion and service-based spring break trip to Budapest, Hungary.
Cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest not only serves as Hungary's primary political, cultural, and commercial center, but also houses the world's largest thermal water cave system. This year’s ASB Hillel trip to Budapest will focus on cross-cultural immersion while exploring the city and engaging in service opportunities. Both Jewish Hungarian and Israeli students will be part of the trip as an opportunity to hear different cultural perspectives and meet new people. A few of the many awesome plans for the group include a walking tour of the Jewish section of the city, a swim in the Szechenyi Bath, a visit to Buda Castle and a night cruise along the Danube. We also plan on having at least one full day of service with an organized and impactful service project.
