The Jesuit Christian Service Program provides students opportunities to engage in service within a context that calls for solidarity with people in need. It complements the academic curriculum by providing experiences that enable students to recognize the dignity and vlue of each human being and to live out the gospel message of love, service and community through direct action.

Students will volunteer with the St. Bernard Project (http://www.stbernardproject.org/) to work with families rebuilding their homes, damaged in Hurricane Katrina. They will live simply and work hard to make a difference, ending each day with a time of reflection and prayer.

Please consider joining us in this ministry by donating toward the supplies we will purchase and donations we will make to the families in need. We also ask for your prayers as we undertake this work and experience service and solidarity with our neighbors.
