On Saturday, April 11, we invite you to join Movement Exchange in the first annual Move to Change Day to provide dance education for underserved communities.

Movement Exchange (Move-Ex) is a global community of dancers who believe dance education should be accessible to all. Through its university chapters, international dance exchanges, and year-round programs in orphanages in Panama, Move-Ex dances without borders—physical, social, or cultural.

Because dance is empowering, (whether it’s in a theater or backyard, pirouettes across the floor or a shimmy), and empowered people can make positive changes in the world: this is why we Move to Change.

You can Move to Change on April 11 by organizing a workshop, a performance, or an online fundraising page—all supporting weekly dance classes for 500 children in Panamanian orphanages. Your local action on April 11 will have a global impact.

“I love to dance because I don’t worry about all my problems. I’m free when I dance.” — Ruth, eight-year-old dancer from Malambo orphanage in Panama

Give the gift of dance to Ruth and her friends at the Malambo Orphanage by participating in Movement Exchange's first ever Move To Change Day!

If you’d like to host your own event and/or start a fundraising page, sign up (http://movementexchanges.org/join/#movetochange) by March 11, 2015. If you’d like to learn more visit our website.
