Macalester Walk for Water
A team for H2O FOR LIFE
Macalester Walk for Water at Twins Stadium on April 16th, a team fundraiser to help H2O for Life
Did you know?
Every 20 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease
1 million deaths (mostly children!) occur yearly due to diarrhea
2.5 billion persons lack access to adequate sanitation
Water related diseases are the leading cause of death for children under the age of 5
Together we can change these statistics…
Join me on Saturday, April 16th from to 9 to 4 at Target Field to Walk for Water.
We are fundraising for the implementation of WASH projects (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene education) at XYZ School in Tanzania. We need to raise $2,500 to let the 300 students at this school have access to a pump, a latrine, and a handwashing station.
April 16, 2011 is Global Youth Service Day! We will be walking a 5 kilometer route, the average distance that women and girls in developing countries walk every day, typically carrying 20 liters of water.
