Longest Day of Golf for the Troops
A team for Tee It Up For The Troops
Tee It Up on the longest day of the year to "Honor, Respect, Remember and Support” military veterans and their families.
Tee It Up for the Troops is looking for golfers to participate in the 3rd annual Longest Day of Golf for the Troops event over the summer solstice weekend of June 17-19, 2016.
You may recall “The Longest Day” was a famous book and movie (starring John Wayne) honoring those who fought for our freedom on D-Day. The Longest Day of Golf for the Troops is a unique opportunity for golfers to honor all who have served and continue to fight for our freedom.
To participate, golfers choose 1 day over the summer solstice weekend (June 17-19, 2016) and “tee it up” from the crack of dawn until sundown! We are asking participants to seek donations from friends, family and co-workers to help us reach our fundraising goal of $25,000! This unique opportunity allows golfers to participate as an individual, twosome, foursome, etc.
Golfers simply gather their favorite foursome(s), contact their favorite golf course and ask them to host the players, collect donations/pledges, and play their Longest Day of Golf!
We hope you will join us and share in the sense of pride, honor, respect and appreciation for all those who have served and given so greatly!
