A team for BOSMA VISIONARY OPPORTUNITIES FOUNDATION INC
"ISBVI Rockets" a team to help the BOSMA VISIONARY OPPORTUNITIES FOUNDATION INC raise funds for the STEP program.
STEP (Student Training and Employment Program) offers Indiana high school students who are blind or visually impaired, the opportunity to learn the basics of finding a job and keeping a job. Along with summer on-the-job experience, students are instructed in job-readiness skills such as: understanding employer expectations, identifying personal employment strengths and barriers and discovering simple adaptations to perform work tasks. In addition, students complete job applications, identify career path and job goals, hone their resume writing skills and participate in mock interviews.
Staff and Students from the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI) are joining the Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation (BVOP) in raising funds for this program and will be "Stepping" to support STEP. Participants will be gathering donations for the steps they take throughout the month of March. Your contribution will help prepare students to combat the 70% unemployment rate among individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Thank you for your support!
