JSBC's Hope for Louisville is a radical opportunity for Christian young adults to serve the homeless and urban poor. Hope is designed for Christians ages 18-30 to go further and deeper into loving God and loving other people.

Hope Team Members pursue holistic discipleship through the following lifestyle elements:

  • Building Relationships: Team Members pursue meaningful relationships with the residents and guests of JSBC and their urban neighbors.
  • Service: Team Members serve 35 hours a week as staff through JSBC – responding to the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless and hurting.
  • Community: Team Members live in missional, supportive community with other Christians of the same gender in an urban neighborhood.
  • Discipleship: Team Members deepen their discipleship to Christ through daily quiet time, curriculum, regular times of prayer and worship, and putting their words into deeds.
  • Church Partnership: Team Members worship, serve and receive solid biblical teaching in a church community that is engaging their community.
