Holyoke Students Traveling to Puerto Rico
This campaign already ended. We hope you like the results!
Help students travel to Puerto Rico to explore their heritage, the culture, and the ecological profile of the island.
Students at the Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School have the opportunity to attend an educational trip to Puerto Rico their junior year. Many of the students at the school identify as Puerto Rican, and this trip is an opportunity to explore their heritage and culture. Additionally, many hours on the trip are spent exploring local universities and taking park in ecological lessons in the various eco-regions of the island.
As all students at PFSJ receive free lunch due to income, This trip is 100% free for all students. Through fundraising and support from people like you, this powerful heritage trip is a possibility.
Students have met their grandparents for the first time, have conquered fears of the ocean, have learned to cook and participate as part of a mature group, and have emerged as leaders during this trip. Help us continue to offer this life-changing opportunity.
