Ride to Raise
for the
Global Down Syndrome Foundation

This Father’s Day weekend, the Global Down Syndrome Foundation invites you to join our team for the 2013 Denver Century Ride. We’re coordinating with the annual bicycle ride to offer a unique experience for people of all skill levels, while raising money to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome.

The Denver Century Ride offers five courses of varying difficulty and length that wind through some of the most beautiful views and neighborhoods in the Denver area and along the Front Range. There is also a 1-mile Kids Bicycle Parade and a Street Party for all participants at the Shops at Northfield Stapleton.

By signing up for one of the five courses as part of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation Cycling Team, your registration fees will be covered at no charge, in exchange for a commitment to raise money for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. To register, go to the Global Down Syndrome Foundation website.

All registrants for the Quarter Century, Metric Century, Century Bypass and Century rides will receive a bicycling jersey, a meal at the Post Ride Party, and access to snacks at all aid stations along the routes. All registrants for the 5-Mile Ride will receive a T-shirt and a meal at the Post Ride Party.

Once you’re signed up, please set up your individual fundraising page here on Razoo. Make sure to liven it with photos, a personal message and more, and then email your friends and family and utilize social media to gain support for your ride. Your personal fundraising page will allow donors to give via credit card, and you can also add in donations you receive by cash and checks on your own. Participants in the Quarter Century, Metric Century, Century Bypass and Century rides (registered as individuals) are asked to commit to raising a minimum of $500 for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, while participants in the 5-Mile Ride (registered in family groups of up to 2 people) are asked to commit to raising a minimum of $200 for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. Of course, these are only minimums – such a worthy cause will be ripe for raising far more! Our Team goal is to raise $25,000 altogether, and your persistence and hard work will be vital to reaching that total.

Help make a difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome this Father’s Day weekend!
