Hey guys,

On Saturday, July 21st, Futbol Club Oaktown will participate in the 2nd annual Small Goals, Big Change Soccer Tournament to benefit Soccer Without Borders (SWB), a nonprofit organization that uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change in the lives of underserved youth in the US and abroad. Soccer Without Borders provides programming to youth who aretraditionally excluded from sports-based and extracurricular activities. SWB programs provide participants with an avenue for positive engagement, a platform for personal growth, and a toolkit for a brighter future.

Based in Oakland, CA, USA, Soccer Without Borders currently operates 4 core programs, 4 seasonal programs, and 12 camps in 6 countries, including the USA, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Uganda and Egypt.

Funds raised from the 2012 Small Goals, Big Change Soccer Tournament will support the SWB program in Oakland, CA. SWB Oakland provides newly arrived refugeeand immigrant youth with access to free, quality soccer programming and equipment, creating opportunities for newcomer youth to be a part of a positive team community thatplays a significant role in their successful transition to their lives in the US.

As an independent nonprofit, Soccer Without Borders relies almost entirely on donations from supporters like you. Please consider making a donation to ensure that the youth at SWB’s sites in Oakland continue to develop the social and life skills they need to build a better future.

Thanks for your support!
