Having already hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2009, the Grand Canyon in 2010, the Arizona Trail in 2011, the Foundation for Blind Children will attempt to swim/escape from Alcatraz.

The Phoenix-based non-profit that serves children of all ages (from birth to currently 102 years old), is taking a group of blind students to the Alcatraz Invitational Swim on September 29, 2013.

Team FBC swimmers willl swim more than a mile in temperatures ranging from 60-62 degrees Fahrenheit to showcase the visionof FBC--that vision loss is a diagnosis, not a disability.

Please help support FBC in its vision by donating to FBC or by sponsoring one of its blind swimmers.

Thank you,

Marc Ashton, CEO, Foundation for Blind Children
