Lace up your hiking boots and get ready for the experience of a lifetime!

August 7-9th, join an adventurous group of 100 international climbers who will be climbing the summit of Borneo, Mt Kinabalu, to raise global awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 100 percent of all donations will fund cardiac and pulmonary initiatives that will help all those will Duchenne, through Coalition Duchenne.

We are honored that you have chosen to be a part of our fifth annual event on August 7-9th, 2015.

We are raising funds for COALITION DUCHENNE, a non-profit charity that raises global awareness and funding to find treatments and a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

2014-2015 updates!

"Now is the Time" highlights

Please carefully read the details below regarding the climb:

You will be part of raising global awareness and funding research to find treatments and a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. By climbing, you are making a significant difference in the lives of those affected with Duchenne.

Duchenne is a fatal, progressive muscle wasting condition that affects one in 3,500 boys worldwide. Duchenne robs boys of their ability to walk, breath, eat and speak, and eventually takes their lives, often before they reach age 20. It leaves their minds unaffected and full of dreams.

The impact of Duchenne is felt across the globe, from the USA to Asia, Australia, Europe, India, South America and Africa. Duchenne knows no boundaries, and does not discriminate between race, culture, socioeconomic status or country

Coalition Duchenne has reserved 100 spots on the mountain! This is one of the largest Malaysian annual charity events. You will be part of an international team climbing for a shared cause. This is an amazing opportunity to climb Mt Kinabalu, a protected World Heritage site.

We are climbing for the thousands of boys and young men who face challenges greater than any mountain peak.

One hundred percent of proceeds will fund initiatives like our cardiac stem cell research at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles which will help all Duchenne hearts. See our interview with Eduardo Marban, Director of the Heart Institute, Cedars-Sinai:

We will help you set up a personal fundraising page (if you choose) to raise the donation part of your climbing fee.
