Members, staff and founders of eleVate Group Fitness, are coming together to support Girls on the Run of the Bay Area to build stronger, healthier, more confident Bay Area girls.

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based youth development program for girls in the 3rd-5th grade. Girls on the Run teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K running event. The goal of the program is unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.

Girls on the Run of the Bay Area was founded in 2002 with 5 girls and 1 coach. This school year, Girls on the Run of the Bay Area served more than 1,350 girls at 98 sites, led by over 300 volunteer coaches. Girls on the Run of the Bay Area serves girls who otherwise would have limited access to an after school running program: nearly 90% receive scholarship to participate in the program.

All funds raised by Team eleVate directly benefit the girls of Girls on the Run of the Bay Area. Donations help Girls on the Run of the Bay Area acheive their goal of bringing the Girls on the Run program to more high-need schools and community centers in the Bay Area. Specifically, the funds raised by Team eleVate will go towards scholarships for girls who otherwise could not afford to participate.
