The future of the planet is being decided right now:

In response to slow UN progress on this critical issue, the SustainUS Agents of Change program will send 20 youth delegates to the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Climate Change Convention and 8th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, which will be held in Doha, Qatar, from November 26 to December 7, 2012. Delegates will work with each other and with international youth in advance of the conference to educate themselves and their communities, develop policy priorities, acquire skills in effective lobbying, and engage the broader youth population in action related to international climate policy.

Unfortunatley housing and food in Doha will be expensive, and our youth delegates are often students without incomes. Please consider donating $10 to feed a delegate for a day, $35 to house them or $50 to cover all their costs for 24 hours!

SustainUS is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization of young people advancing sustainable development and youth empowerment in the United States.

The Agents of Change (AoC) program embodies the spirit and vision of SustainUS. We bring delegations of U.S.-based youth to conferences and summits related to international policy, primarily at the United Nations. By allowing youth to play an active role in such high-level conferences, AoC encourages young people to analyze, critique, and accept responsibility for our generation’s most pressing global issues. SustainUS delegates cultivate the skills necessary to become successful leaders in the future. Our activities include:

Agents of Change, in creating a rare blend of opportunity, engagement, and peer mentorship, empowers U.S. youth while challenging them to recognize their ability to impact decisions of global significance.
