Power of You Campaign
We can all speak up for children who’ve been abused or neglected.
Every day CASA volunteers, people just like you, speak up for children who’ve been removed from their homes because the people responsible for protecting them have not. Children with CASA volunteers are more likely to receive therapy, health care and education, more likely to do better in school, less likely to be bounced from one place to another, less likely to get stuck in long-term foster care and significantly more likely to reach safe, permanent homes. But 650 children in our Austin community still need a CASA volunteer to speak up for them.
It’s a tough job, and while CASA volunteers come from every walk of life, we know that not everyone has the time or feels the calling to be a CASA volunteer. But we can all speak up and change children’s lives.
For children who’ve been abused or neglected, CASA means having a home instead of feeling lost, and being a priority instead of feeling invisible. Whether or not you can volunteer, you can be a part of CASA. You can give children safe loving homes, keep them in touch with their family, make sure they go to school and graduate, and help them to heal and grow.
Give to power your friend or family member who already volunteers. Give to ensure that more and someday all children will have the powerful voice of a CASA volunteer, someone just like you who cares about them and their future, when they need it most. Give today. Give to the Power of You.
