IMPORTANT NOTE: 100% money raised goes directly to UCP of MetroBoston.

Boston University Outdoors Club has partnered with Climb for Cerebral Palsy to raise money for United Cerebral Palsy of MetroBoston. The two groups will be hiking Mount Madison in New Hampshire on November 3rd to raise money for United Cerebral Palsy of MetroBoston. UCP of MetroBoston provides services to people with disabilities which enable them to life a life without limits.

Climb for Cerebral Palsy was created to support UCP of MetroBoston's mission. Climb for Cerebral Palsy is a charity climb that will take place in February of 2013. Four Boston University staff members will climb the tallest mountain in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of cerebral palsy and similar disabilities. One of those staff members, Phillip Berenz was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was 18 months old. Only two other individuals with cerebral palsy have summited Mount Kilimanjaro unassisted and Phillip plans to be the next.

More importantly, the Climb for Cerebral Palsy team is climbing so that people with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities have the oppurtunity to push their own limits; be it taking their first steps or obtaining a scholarship. Accomplishments like these are just as or even more monumental than climbing a large mountain.

United Cerebral Palsy of MetroBoston is a registered 501(c)-3 organization in Boston that specializes in making these momumental accomplishments a reality. In the end it is the team's belief that everyone deserves to live a life without limits. Money raised from this local charity hike will go directly to United Cerebral Palsy of MetroBoston. The Boston University Outdoors climb is extremely excited to team up with Climb for Cerebral Palsy to make a difference in the local community of Boston.
