We are two teenage girls; 16 and 17 to be exact. Last June we traveled to Honduras not knowing what to expect. It was a last minute decision; all we knew is that we wanted to be used as the hands and feet of God somewhere and somehow. Upon our arrival we both fell in love with the country almost immediately. The people were so genuine and thankful, entirely set apart from our typical American lifestyle we had come to know. The children captured our hearts from the get go. Our week was filled with countless laughs, hugs and tears as the children slowly took another piece of our hearts with them. Our purpose in Honduras was to show love on those who all too often had been rejected and orphaned and to help in building up the Kids Ark International campsite. While there, we assisted with the constuction work and loved on the people. We learned a bit of the language, and with the help of translators, taught the people about Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Countless adults and children gave their lives to Him during that time. By the end of our week we donated numerous amounts of clothing and food to those who had very little to none at all. Much of our team traveled heavily but returned to the United States with very little. We had been so moved even to the point of giving them the clothing off our backs and the shoes from our feet. We aim to return and continue the process of construction and loving on the people. It is our passion and desire to be used in Honduras by God once again. And, truth be told, we would love to be reunited with the children who stole our hearts. Though we are running short on time to raise the funds, we have always believed God will get us through whatever He calls us to do; He never leaves us stranded. Every little penny counts for sake of seeing souls brought into the Kingdom of God. Thank you for your time and consideration,

Ashley and Lydia
