A team for CENTER FOR ADAPTIVE RIDING
Help Center for Adaptive Riding continue growing and improving our riding program!
Since 2007 Center for Adaptive Riding (CAR) has been serving individuals in northern Nevada and northern California who have special needs. CAR continues to expand in response to the growing need for equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) in our community.
Benefits of therapeutic riding and horsemanship include increased core strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, sensory integration, fine and gross motor function, confidence, independence and communication skills. EAAT has been proven beneficial for a variety of special needs, including autism, PTSD, stroke/CVA, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome, ADD/ADHD, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, chromosomal disorders, developmental delay and socioemotional/behavioral issues.
It takes a lot of time and resources to provide quality care for our horses, including feeding, hoof trimming, trailering, veterinary care, training and housing. Without our amazing equine partners, we wouldn't be where we are today.
We are an IRS designated 501c3 charitable community service organization, and are incorporated and registered in the state of Nevada. Your donations may be tax-deductible.
Thank you for your caring generosity!
