Christian microfinance has been very effective at extending the kingdom of heaven to earth, but perhaps nowhere more effectively than at The Center for Community Transformation (CCT) in the Philippines. CCT is already offering microfinance services to over 140,000 active clients (over 90% of whom are women) in 145+ branches around the Philippines. These clients meet weekly for Bible Study in groups of 20-30; imagine, 5,000+ weekly Bible studies. That has allowed CCT to plant 80+ churches among the materially poor in the last three years alone!

Thankfully, for many of the women, the small businesses they can start or grow with the help of CCT enables them to meet the needs of their families, including providing an education to their children. But CCT extends microfinance to the very poor, even streetdwellers, so not all of them are able to cover the cost of education. That's where Team Philippines in the Walk for Economic Empowerment comes in!

Team Philippines is raising funds to provide scholarships to the elementary school children of the streetdweller microfinance clients. In addition, scholarship funds are being raised for the young adult sons of the poorest microfinance clients so that they can get a vocational school education and learn a trade. In both cases, the young child and the young man are receiving a topnotch education in a boarding school environment complete with discipleship. Such extreme measures are needed to break generational poverty. They are a sure sign that the kingdom is among us as we see the last becoming first.

Please click on "Fundraise" to the right and join Team Philippines to raise $5,000+ to create education opportunities for the children of CCT's poorest clients. 100% of what we raise will go to CCT. You can walk right where you are when convenient with you, or join others on Team Philippines. Please see www.w4ee.org for the current Walk sites and dates.

If you have donors who prefer to give offline, ask them to make checks out to "PEER Servants" and give/mail them to you. Then just bring them to the Walk or mail them to PEER Servants at PO Box 258, Woburn, MA 01801. Please include a slip noting your name and the team you are on. You can also add the offline donations to your fundraising page to show the progress in meeting your fundraising goal.

May God bless you richly and multiply many times over what we can raise together to bless the children and young men of the Philippines.
