Would you like to support one of the participants in the 2013 London Walk for Economic Empowerment?

Just click on the link of the walker you would like to support (see their names and links above) and you will be brought to their fundraising page where you can quickly and securely donate.

Would you like to join those walking in the 2013 London Walk for Economic Empowerment?

Click "Fundraise" to the right to join other London walkers who are taking literal steps to empower the materially poor through Christian microfinance. By doing so, you will be blessing those generally living on £2 or less per day with a means of starting or growing a small business, educating their children, and experiencing more of the kingdom of heaven on earth.

What do you have to do?

  1. Set your own Walk course and length that you commit to walking in the August 1-31 date range. Enjoy your walk(s)!
  2. Click "Fundraise" to the right, set up our own fundraising page, distribute it to friends and family around the world telling them what you are doing, and see the amount you are raising grow - 100% of which will go to programs empowering the materially poor. (Note: You will start with a standard fundraising template; if you don't want to customize it, that's fine. But you can add/delete any text in the template and add pictures, video, etc. - whatever you want to add to make the fundraising page yours! Have fun!)
  3. Join with other London Walkers the evening of Saturday, August 31 for an optional closing Walk. Closing Walk details will be shared by Wednesday, August 28.

While most London Walkers are likely to raise funds for HEED, an excellent Sri Lankan microfinance organization, you can also raise funds for other indigenous Christian microfinance institutions in India, the Philippines, Moldova, Haiti, Uganda, Zambia, South Africa, and Peru. Once you set up your fundraising webpage, we will be in contact with you to confirm the MFI for which you are walking and make certain 100% of your funds go to them.

Most of your donors will choose to give conveniently and securely online using their credit card, but if they choose to give cash to you, that's fine! Cash should be directed to the London Walk Coordinator: T. Kiru Daniel, No.81a, High Street, Thornton Heath, CR7 8RY, UK. If you have any questions, you can reach Kiru at daniel.kiru@gmail.com or mobile #074 2766 9109 or email us at walk@peerservants.org.

London is just one site of many around the world where people are gathering to raise funds for Christian microfinance - one of the most effective means of empowering the materially poor with dignity. Please join us by clicking "Fundraise" to the right, and thank you for choosing to make a difference!
