Washington ArtWorks brings together the facilities and resources of the Washington School of Photography and Capitol Arts Network at a new headquarters, classroom and studio complex at 12276 Wilkins Ave. in the Twinbrook area of Rockville, Md. The organization offers classes, workshops, exhibits and outreach programs to serve the visual arts community and the public in the National Capital Region. Additionally, the organization created “ArtWorks Aid”, to provide charitable services to members and causes of the ArtWorks community.

The Washington School of Photography, which recently
marked its 37th year of educating professional as well as hobbyist photographers, has grown from a small start-up school in 1976 to a state-approved institution known throughout the mid-Atlantic region and nationally for top-quality educational programs and events.
Our venue offers artists, students and the general public a modern and convenient place to develop their
skills, display their work, build their business and create an attractive new gathering-spot for the arts community of Montgomery County and greater Washington, DC. Washington ArtWork's monthly gallery exhibits feature works from emerging artists to established professionals. Washington ArtWorks is also pleased to have hosted gallery shows with a purpose including Silent Witness - Serbian Life Through a
Child's Eyes, Help and Hope for Haiti
and Exposing Darfur, and "Behind the Smile" featuring portraits of veterans and senior citizen.
