VisionQuest 20/20 Because Every Child Deserves to See!

VisionQuest 20/20 is Committed to the Prevention of Blindness and Needless Suffering of Children with Unidentified Vision Disorders.

Your Support Makes a Difference

Every 6.5 minutes, a child is diagnosed with permanent vision loss. With up to 1 in 4 children struggling with unidentified vision disorders, vision issues are the 4th leading health problem facing children today. No child should suffer vision loss that could have been prevented.

An investment in vision screening children provides the most significant return on investment. In fact, $162 is saved for every $1 invested.* Without proper vision screening, parents, teachers, and children themselves may not even know they have a serious vision problem. Every child held back a grade costs Arizona schools at least $7,000. If even one child is prevented from being held back due to a vision disorder, a life could be changed and a school could save thousands.

Arizona is one of only a handful of states that DOES NOT mandate school vision screening. Our children deserve better. VisionQuest 20/20 is committed to providing children with accurate and reliable vision screenings through innovative technology far beyond the 150-year-old screening
methods used in schools today. Ground breaking technology like the EyeSpy 20/20™ method, allows school nurses to detect vision issues often overlooked with outdated screening methods. EyeSpy 20/20 is a fun computerized vision screening that is a video game kids love to play. It’s easy, accurate and requires no training to administer.

Your Donation Makes it Possible for VisionQuest 20/20 to:

  • Provide EyeSpy 20/20 to disadvantaged communities. For every $5 donated an Arizona student receives a state-of-the-art vision screening.
  • Increase public awareness of the damaging affects of undiagnosed vision disorders.
  • Support the development of follow-up care for children in need of professional services based on accurate screening results.

“My daughter was born blind in one eye. It took until high school to recognize she had a vision problem, and not other misdiagnosed behavior/learning issues.”
- Greg Geryak, East Valley

"My daughter had been given glasses in 2005 for use only when reading. When she got screened at school using VisionQuest with her glasses on, she failed. We went back again to see an Ophthalmologist and she was diagnosed with amblyopia and now wears glasses all the time and is doing wonderful in school. Headache free, and her nose is always in a book."
– Parent, Washington School District
