Rally Foundation- Chilhood Cancer Research
Hi Everyone, It is that time again where I am reaching out for your in support and donations to a wonderful cause. I found the Rally Foundation about 3 years ago when I ran in memory of a beautiful little angel, Hayley.
This year I want to introduce you to a little princess who is fighting her own battle against childhood cancer every day.
Ansley was diagnosed on February 10, 2009 with Optic Pathway Glioma. She was just five months old at the time. Since then, she has completed 64 weeks of Carboplatin and Vincristine Chemotherapy. She completed treatment on April 21, 2010. A follow up scan showed that the bilateral tumors started showing new growth, and in May 2011, she started a 52 week treatment plan of Vinblastine Chemotherapy.
Due to the tumors, Ansley is now blind in her left eye with decreased vision in her right eye. She loves Disney princesses, music, and singing. Ansley also loves to dance, especially tap and ballet.
In April, I will be running the Nashville Rock-N-Roll Marathon for Ansley. I realize that this is not the best time to ask for money, but think of it as you are helping give a chance to a child. The money I raise will go to children's cancer research, and help in finding a cure.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story!Your support and donations are greatly appreciated. Go TEAM ANSLEY!
