We are physical therapy students fundraising for a mission to Cuzco, Peru where we will volunteer in the Clinica San Juan de Dios.
Here is a little background information provided by the non-profit we registered with about the clinic:
The Clinic “Hogar Clinica San Juan de Dios” is a center that specializes in Rehabilitation, especially children. Their mission is to serve the lower income families of Cusco and surrounding areas and to alleviate some of the major health problems in the region. There is a real lack of quality health care that is affordable. They specialize in physical rehabilitation especially children and they provide specialized clinical services in areas such as general medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, neurology, dental, and more. They are building a surgery center at the moment.
We will be utilizing the skills we've acquired thus far to alleviate some of the responsibilities of the overworked staff and assist in the provision of quality physical therapy to patients young and old. In addition, we hope to bring with us much need rehabilitation supplies and children's clothing. Any donation, monetary or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated by us and the people we'll be helping.
Every little bit helps! Thank you for your time and help :)
