a little about us: was founded in 2007. We use volunteer labor to rebuild homes of residents in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. The Lower Ninth Ward was arguably the
hardest hit and slowest recovering neighborhood affected by Hurricane Katrina and the ensuing levee breaches of 2005 and many of its residents remain in need of assistance in order to rebuild their homes. Homeowners purchase the
majority of the materials and we provide free labor, which brings the cost of rebuilding down to 1/3 of the current market rate. We have been honored to help over 50 homeowners return to the Lower Ninth and help countless others with smaller maintenance projects. also operates an urban farm in the Lower Ninth Ward and sells produce to the local community at weekly farmers markets.

Donations to help us to continue to operate, to house and feed our volunteers, purchase tools, transport people and materials, and keep the lights on. We hope to one day get to a place where we are able to assist homeowners with material purchases as well!
