Student PIRG volunteers across the country are teaming up to help residents of NJ to recover from the impacts of Superstorm Sandy.
Student PIRG volunteers and organizers across the country are teaming up to help the NJPIRG chapters in New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden to raise funds and collect needed items for the victims of Sandy. We’re focusing our relief efforts on the Jersey Shore, where thousands of residents are still without power.
NJPIRG Student Chapters volunteers have been working with the Reformed Church of Highland Park (http://rchighlandpark.org/) for years to coordinate service and fundraising for the local community.
The Church is receiving financial donations and items needed by NJ residents who are without power, permanent housing, or a reliable source of food. They are delivering necessities to relief agencies in Perth Amboy, Keyport and other local and coastal distribution centers twice weekly. Your donations will help them to purchase more necessities like canned food, baby formula, and warm socks that can be delivered right away.
