Raising $ and awareness for mental health

From December 1st through January 8th your donation supports our 9th Annual RoofRaiser Campaign.

Dollars raised help fund the mental health services we provide to youth and families at our Fridley clinic and through our school-based program.

As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, we provide individual and family counseling, as well as psychological testing for all ages and for youth as young as 4. Psychiatric services are also available for ages 4 - 17.

The statistics are alarming.

Half of all mental illnesses like major depression, anxiety disorders and issues with substance abuse start by age 14

Left untreated, these disorders can lead to higher rates of violence, school dropout, family dysfunction, juvenile incarceration and chemical dependency.

In other words, a lifetime of missed opportuntiies.

For over 35 years, our Fridley clinic has been a beacon of hope for children and families in our community struggling with emotional health issues.

Because many families lack the financial resources and have other barriers to getting mental health treatment, schools are also an important access point for services.

Our team of school-based therapists work with youth K-12 in 3 school districts. We just launched an early childhood program in the Centennial school district and will expand those services to other districts in the near future.

Lee Carlson Center remains one of the few agencies in Anoka County to offer a sliding fee scale for families who are uniinsured or underinsured.

Please support our work by making an online donation.
