It would be great if we could support ten students at $50 (3 meals a day for 1 month) and raise $500.
Hello friends & family:
Today I am celebrating my birthday in Carmen Pampa, Bolivia—the small mountain community where I’ve lived for the past four months and have been volunteering as an English teacher at the UAC-CP. The UAC-CP is a unique college that educates young women and men from Bolivia’s, poor rural area and prepares them to be leaders of social and economic development. The students here are really inspiring to me, which is why this year I want do something for them in honor of my birthday and I hope you will help!
Because my birthday is so close to Thanksgiving, I am asking people to please make a donation to support the Food Cooperative Program. The Food Cooperative Program provides food for students at a reduced cost that is affordable to them. The Program, which requires that students take turns cooking and cleaning and purchasing food, is very important to student success; without the Food Cooperative Program many students would go hungry and be forced to drop out of school.
Please feel free to give whatever you are able! Some suggested donation amounts include:
$10 Pays for a student to eat breakfast every day for one month
$25 Pays for a student to eat lunch every day for one month
$50 Provides a student with three healthy meals (breakfast, lunch, and supper) every day for one month

Muchas gracias for helping me make my birthday extra special and making a contribution to a very worthy and important cause.
