We're heading to Kenya this summer to serve alongside a church working to share the Gospel with the Pokot People. Will you join us?
Our church has spent the past few years developing a partnership with several church planters & churches in the Pokot Region of Kenya. We are excited about what God is doing to build His Church in Kenya. This summer a team of people from Northwest Community Church is heading to Kenya to support these pastors and their ministry by helping facilitate a Family Conference. Will you partner with us this summer?
KENYA MISSIONS TRIP 2012
JULY 26th-AUGUST 8th
Dear Family & Friends,
Hello to everyone. We pray that this letter finds each of you doing well. After much prayer and consideration, my son, (Samuel) and I have decided to take part on a mission’s trip to Kenya, Africa. This opportunity has been offered to us through our church, Northwest Community Church (NWCC). We will be joined by around 20 others that are also from NWCC. Sam and I are very blessed and are also very excited to see what God has in store for us on this journey. We would love for you to be a part of it which is why we are writing you this letter.
So, I just wanted to say to each of you Mungo akubariki!
It is pronounced as Moongoo akoobareekee!
It means God Bless you in Swahili! Swahili is the primary language of where we are going. Sam and I are so excited! We are also very humbled as well that we have even been given this opportunity. I am so happy that the Lord would lead us in this way and I just want to praise Him for it. Our God is an awesome God and we are so looking forward to what He is going to accomplish in each of us.
We will be going to a small little village called Kechaleba. Our main objective on this trip is to be a blessing to the three pastors that our church supports in Kenya. Their names are Emmanuel, John & Paul. What great bible names! We have financially supported them for the past three years and have partnered with them in other ways for over ten years. We just want to love them and encourage them. We want to learn from them. We want to see life and faith through their eyes. We want to share the Gospel of Christ to each person that we meet so that hopefully some might come to faith in Christ. We hope to achieve this by praying, worshiping, preaching, teaching, working and serving them in a variety of ways. We will have bible studies, a children’s bible study and a children’s church, a sports ministry, fellowship, and a family conference. I am sure that if we are faithful the Spirit of God will show us what else He would have us do.
I am writing to give you an opportunity to participate in this ministry. Please consider praying for our team. Pray for Samuel & I. Pray for the new friends we will make in Kenya. Pray for these three pastors. Pray that many will be saved. Pray for our protection on the trip. Pray that we will be effective. Pray that we will find the financial support to make this trip possible. Pray especially that when we all return we will have a real vision to share with Northwest Community Church and everyone about what God is doing in Kechaleba and the surrounding area of Kenya, Africa.
Another way you can participate is to support Samuel and I financially. The cost of the trip is $2,700 per person. The trip will be funded entirely through donations and by those going on the trip. We are just going to trust in God to move in people’s hearts and lead them to donate towards this mission’s trip. If you feel that you could participate in this way, please:
Make a check out to Northwest Community Church
- Write “Kenya 2012” on the memo line. Please note our name cannot appear on the check or it will not be tax deductible to you.
- Please send the check to Jon & Samuel McNeece 101 Bayoak Drive Cary, NC 27513
Or you can go visit the following websites:
You can make a safe and secure donation with your Debit or Credit Card and it only take a few seconds.
Whether you are able to give financially or not, please pray for Sam and I. Pray that we would be obedient to the Holy Spirit while we are there and that the Lord would be Glorified in all that we say and do.
Thank you very much for considering our request.
Love to each of you,
Jon & Samuel McNeece
