The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity Lambda Nu Chapter would like to honor friend and hero, Matt Kantor, who died in the line of duty.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew G. Kantor, 22, of Gillette, N.J., died Thursday November 1, 2012, while supporting stability efforts in Afghanistan. Matt Kantor is a recipient of the Bronze Star (with a “V” device) for paying the ultimate sacrifice for not only his country, but for his fellow Navy SEAL teammates that day. Matt Kantor was not only a Navy SEAL, but also a dear friend of one of our brothers in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. In his honor the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity Lambda Nu chapter of Boston University would like to support our soldiers in times of adversity and achievement. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised here will go directly to The Navy SEAL Foundation.
The Navy SEAL Foundation supports all U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare (NSW) support personnel, and their spouses and children. The Foundation works closely with the Navy SEAL command to provide critical needs of active-duty soldiers while also providing resources for NSW veterans. Their work is focused on four key areas: family services, command support, educational programs, and legacy activities.
Members of the NSW community, their spouses, and their children make many sacrifices, both large and small, in service to our country. The Foundation’s mission is to provide support and promote peace of mind to those who live with a high level of uncertainty. The Foundation’s work focuses on family support services (including tragedy assistance), educational programs (encourage lifelong learning and provide motivation), and legacy activities (to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice).
The brotherhood of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, Lambda Nu chapter of Boston University would like to extend their arms to the Kantor Family as well as the families of Navy SEALS and veterans. Please support the foundation in honor and memory of Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew G. Kantor, a true American patriot.
