"I am running for who counts "The People" is about doing what I love where other people are benefitting from my choices and actions.
My name is Brenda. I am a sinner saved by God's grace. I used to be homeless and hopeless, so I know what it is like to be lost and with out hope. God whispered his love into my ear one day and I thought to myself, I have tried everything, what do I have to lose, so I chose to believe that God loved me so much that he gave his precious son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins that I would not perish but have everlasting life. When I confessed these words with my lips and believed in my heart that Jesus also rose from the grave 3 days later, then I knew I was saved. The promise of eternal life was not the only reason I chose to believe, but I also wanted my sins to be washed away and thrown into the "sea of forgetfulness", I wanted to know what it was like to Love and be Loved. In my knowledge I had not experienced such love before. God has kept to his promises since 15 yrs ago when I stepped oout on faith and believed. God saved my life. I have healthy relationships with family and friends because I know how to respect other's and receive respect. I have learned what it means to have healthy boundaries, when before Christ I had no idea what a healthy boundary was. I have the ability and freedom to embrace my emotions without being controlled by them. Before Christ I would feel an emotion, react to fear, then medicate it. And as everyone knows there are many ways to medicate. I want other's to experience God's love, freedom, forgiveness and all of his promises. I believe that we are instruments of his love and we are led by the spirit to share graciously what he has sooo graciously given to us. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share God's love
