What Will Your Contribution Support?
Do you know what Grace Minnesota has accomplished in the few years since we started? We’ve produced:
- more than 100 public dance sessions
- 46 conversations on spirituality
- 4 large-scale Earth Day events
- a lullaby sleepover concert
- and more...
- all FREE to the public!
Our ongoing projects (shown in the pictures and video above) include Wishes for the Sky, an annual day of wishing on Earth Day, Don't you feel it too? a practice of public dancing and purposeful self-embarrassment, Sundays at 4:30, a weekly spirituality conversation group and The Lullaby Experiment, a pianissimo concert and sleepover.
We re-imagine our simple behaviors like wishing, sleeping, singing, walking, and dancing to make transcendent experiences together. If you’ve made wishes with us on Earth Day, or enjoyed wild dancing on Nicollet Mall, or fallen asleep to our lullabies, we hope you’ll consider supporting us. Please give $10, $50, $100, or any amount to support Grace Minnesota’s pursuit of a simpler, happier, and more peaceful world for us all!
Grace Minnesota creates art to help individuals connect to their inner lives and communities to re-imagine their collective self for a vital, hopeful, peaceful and inclusive society. Through utopian yet useful artistic experiences of individual participation, social interaction, and civic togetherness, we seek to change lives by helping people experience momentary alterations in everyday life that point to a deeper, richer, more honest way of living.
Founded in 2009, Grace Minnesota evokes a fictional yet nearby place and way of life that promotes artistic unorthodoxy, inner-life experimentation, and Midwestern sensibility.
As an emerging behavioral art studio whose work attends to the inner, natural, and civic life, creating personal practice and collective experience we practice art as we wish we could live life. We are interested in direct human interaction because our society longs for it. We create spaces and opportunities for shared acts of equality. To act in these moments is to consult our own nature as human beings, our pure, low selves.
