Team FEA is running in the Cherry Blossom 10-mile run, raising money for FEA's study abroad scholarships! Help me reach my goal!
I'm running in the Cherry Blossom 10-mile run to help support students who might not otherwise have the chance to study abroad. My own study abroad experience in China in 2008 was transformational in ways that I cannot fully express. I was able to become fluent in Chinese during the 6 months that I was there; I used the time to explore my Chinese heritage and Chinese identity; and most importantly of all, I made lasting friendships that I still hold very dear to my heart. Please consider donating to give other students the chance to study abroad and act as diplomats for us around the world.
National facts about study abroad:
•Top 4 study abroad destinations are in Western Europe
•Just 22% of study abroad students are minorities, but minorities make up 36% of the student population in higher education
•The majority of study abroad students study abroad for 8 weeks or less.
•Community college students make up less than 3% of the study abroad population
The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to increasing both the number and diversity of students who study abroad.
