FFGW is about transforming the fortunes of unwanted kittens & cats. We heal them, find forever homes & if an adoption fails, we begin again.

Because FFGW has no facility, we literally are wherever our volunteers are. This includes more than 50 foster homes where FFGW kitties live as family members until adoption, whether it takes days, months or, in the case of the residents of our “virtual sanctuary,” even a lifetime.

In 2014, we learned that one sanctuary kitty who went suddenly blind on the heels of a diabetes diagnosis had an inoperable brain tumor. Then, former feral kitten Jolly Rancher’s emergency hospitalization, neurology consult and MRI were staggering. Two litters of of blind kittens brought high specialist costs. FFGW was forced to close intake for 3 long months in order to ensure that we could provide for the cats already in our care.

Our supporters rallied and raised the funds we needed to re-open rescue. But, this simply can't happen again. That's why we're dedicating our 20th Anniversary year to building emergency reserves. To do that, we need generous donations now as well as steady monthly donations to cover ongoing expenses. Can you help? After you click "donate", simply change "one-time" donation to monthly!
As an all-volunteer organization, the majority of funds raised go to vet fees for our cats and kittens. Your donation covers routine fees -- about $100 per healthy kitten and $250 per mom -- and provides funds for unexpected emergency care. We never want to turn away a cat or kitten because we're low on funds. With your help, we won't have to.
